Default PCV valve

Well, I posted a comment about my PCV valve and I can't find where it went.
I replaced my PCV valve. It was under a black metal plate, top of SC, drivers side in back.
No MAP sensor, not hoses attached, just the 2 10mm nuts and there it was with a spring on top. There were no O rings, just a rubber piece at the bottom that it fit snuggly into. I couldn't get out, so I installed the new one using it. The old one was brown and oily, the new one was shiny metal.. Did I do good?
Maybe it'* my imagination, but I think the hesitation at take-off is gone.

Not a Performance topic. Moving to 92-99.
