IT says in the instruction manuel(it doesn't say what it does). It has fuse for it actual the sticker the car when it new says it has it. And actual now that think about it was on when I got the car.The car was down 4 quarts of oil. So actual I filled on the spot. But the light didn't go off until change the oil which was the next day. I know when own the intruige I had to reset by putting the car on postion but not starting and push the gas petal down 3 times. I am think that 92 would not be smarter the 99 inturgie, but I could be wrong. Yes I know some cars mesure milage but in that case you need to reset it when you change the oil. I have never done that. Acutal just for the record the intruige was actual measure the oil because light came on at 11,960 on the oil change. I was running mobil 1 fully sytheninc /w mobil 1 filter. I was going across country on the way home when it came on

I believe the light in question is a low oil indicator light that you are refering to. It doesn't monitor oil life, just engine oil level. If the level is too low, the light is set. Newer GPs, reagals, and intrigues have one that actually monitor the condition and time of the oil to help remind you that it is time for an oil change!

OK that is what I thought. Shot my intrigue would tell tires got low on air. 5 pounds or more. IT had no tire pressue sensor in the rims. It knew because hard turn tire with low air. at least that is how it was explained to me by the dealer ship. I miss that car very much. should trade in caviler and get intrguie

The 2000+ plus if memory serves has an Oil life monitor
92-99 only has an oil level sensor. No oil life monitor.

The oil life indicator is on the DIC, but doesn't function from 92-99.

Just like rear steer and a couple other goodies.
