how about one shot from further away to see the general area etc.

By the color..I wonder if this isnt' in the middle of the blocked coolant port where it won't need to be fixed.

Looks pretty normal to me. If you were worried about it you could fill them with something like JB weld and then sand the surface flat again. My opinion is that there isn't anything to worry about though.

Bill, Thanks for the reply, I am thinking of porting the LIM, at least square up the ports.
read quite a bit about it last night, and I am very good with flex shaft grinding tools.
