Default Antenna

Is it possible to change over from the power antenna to the mast antenna. The only thing I dont like about the antenna is that sticks above the car. I like the shorty antennas better. Like this for example.

Its a '98. Also since I will be disconnecting the power from the antenna, I would be able to use the turn on for my amps, or should I just stay with a seperate turn on.

yes you can use the antenna power to power up your antenna as I've been using that for years for all my amps that I've used and installed in many of my previous ride..
