1995 Transmission not shifting..
My car has been acting like ****! haha With the sensor (i think its a sensor) that is located on the front of the trans by the exhaust, if its plugged in the car will not move at all in any gear but first every so often. But when i unplug it i have 2nd and 3rd gears but i have to manually shift it, and reverse only works when it wants to. I really need help i had scanned it and got a quite a bit of codes for the trans...once i find them ill put them on here, but if anyone has any suggestions, tips, or tricks to figure this out would be helpfull
thanks

What are you unplugging? The wire connector on the transmission?

Must be, it'* the only electrical connector besides the VSS and that'* the whole other end of the trans.
Toss up the codes. We recently saw a car like yours with troubles and it appears the internal harness went bad.

It helps to know that you are telling us a partial story on the overall car. Sounds like there'* a few different things going on. How about taking a step back and telling us everything instead of just part of the story.
There are quite a few things that can cause a trans to act up. However like it was mentioned, if reverse is failing..that'* a bad sign.

yes i know i am working on finding the codes i might have them sometime today...but the trans started acting funny during the past summer. You would not be able to take off as quick as you should or even quick at all sometimes, it seemed like it would slip or go into a neutral position. when it would warm up the trans seemed like it would run kinda funny not shifting properly and shifting into drive or reverse slow. than it just started not working one day i stoped at a light and i went to take off and it just sat there and reved up.
