engine series clarifacation ?
What engine actually becomes the series I ? Is it the 88 LN3 VIn C, the 91 L27 or the first L36? in what year?
Also how many years was the L27 used? Then what did the 3800 become after the L27 ?
I've always assumed series I was since Vin C but now am not sure if thats correct. Please educate me.

Yes thanks. I am not up on the newer series II'* So I had been thinking there was a Series I L36 and the L27 was only used for like 91/92/93 but now I see. The L27 was used until the 95 * I L36.
So we are correct in calling the Vin C Series I ? Which is what I always have but like I said earlier I was begining to think that was wrong.
I wont even ask whats going on now with * II and * III, NA and SC. Some get thisa one and some get thata one.

Minivans ? Now theres something I never knew or even thought of. I now know the Regal, Riv and Toro got the L27 in 91 but knew nothing about minivans ( and proud of it BTW)
It was that two series of L67'* that threw me this last week. It made me assume there was two series of L36'* also. Thats what started me thinking about all this. I really knew little about the L27 until about a month after I bough the Regal, I thought it was a LN3 until I realized the manifold was different. Never had a LN3 so I bypassed those years of cars because the wifes car between the 86LeSabre and the 97LSS was a OHC 3.0 Mitz powered 89 Chrysler NewYorker.
Thanks !
