I have been reading on another post that if the Air Mix Valve Actuator is stuck that you may only get heat on one side of the car and on the other side, get cold air. Well as I was sitting in my car tonight, I noticed that on the passenger side there is heat, and driver side there is cold.....
How can I locate the air mix valve. Hopefully, someone is not going to say that it is clear up under the dash and you have to take 95% of the dash apart to fix it.....
Is it possible that it is partly working and I could spray something on it to free it up, or what......
Also I have noticed that when I turn the car on, That the outside temperature flashes on the digital temp control panel.....As well as when I turn the heat on..... Could this be related to the air mix valve, or is this a different problem all together?

Yeah, the temperature flashes on mine too. It runs a self-diagnostic check about 30 seconds after the ignition is turned on... On my car (with the dual zone system), the driver'* side actuator is at the bottom of the programmer and the white arm is above a black plastic cover. The programmer is a bit to the right of the center of the dashboard. The passenger'* side actuator is mounted at the top of the programmer and plugged into it. To remove the programmer for your car, AllData says:



Programmer Assembly & Temperature Valve Link

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
** Disable Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system
1. Powertrain Control Module (PCM) from attaching bracket.
^ Let PCM hang, leave wires attached.
2. Vacuum and side electrical connector from programmer.
3. Temperature valve link rod.
^ Reach up through PCM bracket to gain access to rod.
4. Programmer attaching screws.
5. Temperature valve actuator connector.
^ Reach up through PCM bracket to gain access to connector.
6. Programmer

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Programmer in position.
2. Temperature valve actuator connector.
^ Reach up through PCM bracket to gain access to actuator.
3. Programmer attaching screws.
^ Tighten screws to 1.4 Nm (12 lb. in.).
4. Electrical and vacuum connectors.
5. Temperature valve link rod to air mix valve.
^ Reach up through PCM bracket to gain access to rod.
^ Adjust Temperature Valve Link Rod after installation, Refer to Temperature Valve Link Adjustment. See: Air Door/Air Door Actuator Motor/Adjustments
6. PCM to bracket.
** Enable SIR system

Before 2000 the system is a one temp for all system. This means the air mix actuator should be working properly. There are a couple vacuum driven diverters that may be causing the issue. IIRC there is one on the driverside by the airbox.

Pull the kick panel on the driverside down and look at the black airbox. I think the diverter is in sight.
