Default Where is the fuel pump fuse, and the fuel filter>

Checked the fuel rail on my 99 Bonneville, and no pressure. I think the fuel pump went out, the filter may be totally clogged, or a fuse has blown. Where is the fuel filter on this car, and where is the fuse for the fuel pump? I looked in the fuses under the driver side dash, and took the cowling off of the fuse relay on the pass side under hood next to firewall, and did not find a fuel pump relay. Even went to buy a manual. but both places did not have one. Please help! :(

I believe the fuel pump gets it'* power from the ECM fuse, but might be mistaken. Don't have my books handy right here, but someone will jump right in. Could also be your FPR. That'* more likely.

I'm not sure where the fuse is for the pump (never had a reason to look it up in my Chilton'* and then find it on the car). I know for a fact, though, that the filter is on the passenger side, below the rear door. The filter on my 99 got clogged and it gave me all kinds of grief (lack of power, check engine light, missing, etc.). Once I changed the filter all my problems vanished! A new filter is good cheap insurance anyway.

Change the filter and see what kind of pressure you're getting at the fuel rail. Also, when you turn the key on do you hear the pump initializing?

yea when my fuel pump went out on my 91 trofeo the AAA guy came and had me turn the key on and he opened the gas cap and couldnt hear the pump making any kind of sound so he told me it was the fuel pump. I didnt believe him at first but after i got fed up with it and took it to the shop, sure enough it was the fuel pump that went bad. Just somethin you might want to check out.
