Just got back, went and got resistors from Radio Shack and then went to Advance Auto and bought a starter. Replaced the starter took about an hour, I had no jackstands and just some tool kits and some ratchteting wrenches and changed her out. Reconnected the negative terminal and started right up. Now I feel really stupid though because I wouldn't have to go through this if I just would of thought it was the starter. Thanks everyone for their help. I ended up just leaving the new bonneville up there at work. So hopefully tomorrow I will pick it up.

P.*.- Didn't do a think to the security issue maybe another day.

THANKS AGAIN.

Thanks for reporting back, and glad to hear that you're up and running. It would also be interesting to hear if WIllwren'* suggestion on the trunk cable takes care of the security light.

Edit - Bill, does that also then deactivate the power trunk latch, or just the security light?

You left your newer Bonneville there at work, instead of the older one :?:

I had just filled up the old car with a full tank of gas($42). The new one was going to need some more gas, so I just decided to leave there. Not only that but I found out yesterday my license is supended for no insurance. I must of lost a proof of insurance form to turn in and it got supended. So Tuesday Im going to the dmv and getting it straighted out. So I figured if I wreck with the new car, no license no insurance so car is going to sit there till tomorrow sometime.

The trunk wire is simply a wire to tell the car if the trunk is tampered with. Should not effect trunk release.
