Default 94 MAF only code, stills stumbles after replacement

My drive to work is roughly 54 miles each way. I have driven to work without a problem in nice cool weather. Drive home after about 48 miles it tried to stall and stumble many times. Only code is MAF. Replace sensor and drove to work again. This time still had identical problem. Weather conditions not a factor, things replaced have been MAF sensor, fuel filter, fuel pump, ICM, battery and cables, air filter, and tune up parts. Had TB cleaned, IAC reset, and EGR cleaned. Do not know what to try now. Do not like traveling 54 miles away when you don't trust car. PLEASE HELP!!!! Could this be a bad O2 sensor, or a intermitten failing torque conv lockup solenoid?

The folks here will want you to put your year and model in your signature for quick ID.

But to your problem. This code happens when the PCM/ECM looses the signal from the MAF for more than 4 seconds. And the MAF definitely affects how the motor runs (stalling, stumbling, etc). AND.. it is intermittent, so the normal tests probably won't tell us much.

Wiring, connectors and routing are the main culprits listed for this code.
Look for
Since yours is happening on the road, perhaps with high air demand, please be sure to check all parts of you air path for any restrictions. Believe it or don't, because your problem is intermittent, these are the only things suggested, opposed to actual part failure.

    Default 94 trouble codes

    Thank you 93Red Sled,

Sorry for the delay, out of town (obviously not in this car). I will check out the suggestions you have mentioned. I really don't think it is an air issue, as both me and a shop went thru this part of the system when we had a sticking throttle valve. I hope I find it is one of the electrical connectors you asked me to check.
I also wanted to know if you can comment on why my hand held OBDII scanner and AutoZones scanner could not draw any codes out (just got connection error) when a shop had no problem.

    thanks again

Again, we will need to know the year of your car. 1994/1995 models have OBD2 connectors but NOT the OBD2 protocol. So plugging in a normal OBD2 code scanner will not bring anything up.
