First up try unplugging the maf. Might want a little throttle to start the first couple times if the maf is bad. The car will start and run with the maf unplugged. I've seen them low show readings, yet the readings were low enough that the pcm thought it had no airflow..one could be fooled into thinking the maf was working when it is keeping the motor from starting.
Secondly observe the security light when you crank and let the key to fall back to the "on" position is the security light on or blinking? (VATS)
Confirm the motor is getting fuel. It is possible to have fuel in the rail and not have the injectors firing (another VATS method). I like to use a stethescope to hear the injectors clicking or put a 194 bulb into any one of the FI connectors.
Check for spark. Pull plugs to ensure they aren't wet. An easy test of the coils is to remove one plug wire at the coil. The spark should easily jump around while cranking.

Doing a reset will reset the trim table.
Pull the plugs to see if the plugs are wet with gas.
Did you test the coils and spark plug wires? You can have a spark but it'* weak and wont give a good burn.
