Default Normal voltages for O2 sensor?

Just got back from a tech2 run with my lesabre (those are awesome - if you have two and a half grand burning a hole in your pocket, there'* NOTHING like it out there), and I was wondering what'* normal for an oxygen sensor reading.

Mine bounced back and forth the entire time, except at WOT. I'm told that'* normal... is it?

oh, and my readings were between 45 mV and about 900mV at WOT.
I might have some graphs here later, but I can't promise.

Oh, and did you know your IAC actually opens up during acceleration to help you out?? Crazy cool...

And as a last thing, I was keeping track of my IAT'* as well (so I have a baseline for my CAI later on), and the stock airbox keeps the intake air to a few degrees of the outside air... pretty crazy. Never realized it was that close.

Oh, and as the last last thing - I'd heard in the past that turning on your A/C will help the car cool down by commanding the fans on. It commanded my fans on, but at 50 mph and while parked, it actually increased my temps by at least 5 degrees each time. Average operating temp for me was between 190 and 195 degrees. Can't complain about that

i believe your readings are perfectly normal. i did a digimoto run on my bonnie last weekend and found the same to be true for my O2'*. the only difference with mine is i know the sensor on the manifold is bad, cuz it trips a code, and i think it was zeroed out a few times.

oh well. it'* gonna get replaced either way.

What year did wideband start? hrm...

Anyway if I remember correctly the PCM only looks at the o2 if its between 400-600mv, 400 being lean 600 being rich and 500 being perfect. Narrowband o2 sensors are wildly inaccurate at WOT, which is why the pcm ignores it but 900mv is about the same as mine. Mine has seen 981mv on more that one run but the o2 is brand spanking new and who knows how accurate it is. I'm curious though, what o2 readings do you get at idle usually? Also your ST fuel trim if you know it.

i'll post some pics of a tech2 run i did when i get home from work. i didn't have an assistant (everyone was actually busy working yesterday), so I didn't get to look at everything I would have liked too. Anyhew, I'll be able to show a graph of my O2 (1st position), IAT and IAC, as well as a picture of 24 different engine params from one place in time. if that'* not enough to get a decent picture from, I'll try to go for another run on Friday, and take a larger snapshot. It'* a shame though - the tech2 I was using has been updated for 1998-2006, so I faked a 98. works for some of the engine info, but not all of it - and no trans either.

here'* the overview. if you want to look at other pics taken during the same 98 frames, go to

http://www.kettering.edu/~kaak1308/tech2/

again, i'd have more to show, but don't know the tech2 as well as I'd like, I was alone, and I had to fake being a 98 to get a reading...
