Default Rear brakes

So I'm changing the rear shoes on my 99' and you know the "W" shaped piece that holds the shoes on the assembly? Well the middle part of that "W" piece just won't go over the tab it'* suppose to. Any help would be nice.....

Check your new shoes agenst the old shoes and make sure they are the same. Otherwise you may need to clean up the area a bit to help it fit.
