Default 1995 Bonneville water pump

Just a quick question, has anyone done a waterpump on a 1995 bonneville supercharged. Does the engine mount absolutely have to be removed or is there some way around it. It seems to be blocking access to a couple of the bolts holding the water pump. I have the part and I am ready to go, just want to know if I have to buy that rig to support the engine or not.

Thanks
Chris

It does not appear that you have to, according to Dan'* article on the pump removal.

Dans post is for a series 2 96' and up...I just did my 95' and it Does help to take the mount loose from the block for that lower right water pump bolt. Just so you know....the belts need to come completely off and the alternator, the two cooling lines going to the intake and wp housing, power steering pump (just loose), both tensioner pulleys(13 mil bolt down the center), the doubled up idler pulleys (15 mil) and that big ole silver bracket that you just took everything off of.....you guessed it, has to go. It covers the lower left bolt of the waterpump, preventing it from coming off. The timing cover doesn't come off, just the water pump. You will need to support the engine with a floorjack and a wide block of wood under the oil pan.
