Default 93 bonne w/ no spark

my friend'* 93 lost spark. he replaced cam sensor & checked coils ,etc. even tho tests showed crank sensor good ,we changed that too.cleaned the grounds, started checking wire harness from coil pack to sensors on front of motor(each step we tried to start motor) no obvious wire breaks but everything dirty & greasy.then it fired up!we drove a few miles & all was well! next day no spark again-retraced the wiring again like we did when it fired up but no spark again. i guess we got lucky when it fired up ( it restarted several times that day) any ideas would be appreciated.thanks

The ICM could possibly be bad. I'm not 100% sure on this, but that'* where I'd go next if your wiring is good, your spark plugs are good, your spark plug wires are good, and your coils are good. That would be my logical next step. Unfortunately they're not cheap. Fortunately they're all over junkyards.
