Default Difference in Intake and Mass Air Flow sensor sprays

Today in PepBoys I noticed a can of Gumout Intake spray and a can of CRC Mass Air Flow sensor spray. While driving away I began to ask myself a question or two about both of these two sprays: Knowing that carb spray should never be used anywhere near the intake for any reason, what are the differences in the intake and mass air flow sensor sprays? and can either of these two products be used basically for the same thing in order to provide similar results?

Sorry if this might seem like a simple and somewhat ignorant question.

well the MAF spray has got to be specialized because it is such a special EXPENSIVE sensor. If it was me I would just clean the SENSOR with alcohola and some cotton swabs. As for the BODY of the maf sensor, that can be cleaned with intake cleaner as long as you do not have the sensor installed at the time. Thats what I did with mine, removed MAF assembly from throttle body, took it inside, unscrewed the black sensor box off the body, cleaned the sensor with alcohol and put it down then cleaned the maf body with intake cleaner and let it dry, re assembled and it was all good...but people have different opinions on what proceedures are best so, mine is just one out of a million..good luck with it!
