Yes you can, you just need to knock out the spacer to get the new belt in. I'll do a seach and see if I can find a thread w/pics on it.

thou I'm not positive a series 1 is the same as the series 2 engine.

Tim is mistaken.
No spacer is necessary on any Series 1 motor. Supercharged or not.
Put 15mm socket on the spring loaded tensioner (in the center of the pulley) and apply force to move the tensioner, then rethread the belt.

That is the torque axis engine mount. The belt goes around it, not through it. There is nothing to remove on your L27 engine. Check the radiator core support or your owner'* manual for belt routing.
I can change your belt in 30 seconds with only a 15mm socket and ratchet.

Check the radiator core support or your owner'* manual for belt routing.
If not, you can find it on Autozone'* website.
In the meantime, I'd be figuring out why the belt came off in the first place. It'* typically a bad idler pulley at fault. You need ot inspect, shake, wiggle, and turn all pulleys first. And see if any are missing.
The routing diagram can show you where they're supposed to be.
