Recommend Oil Pressure & Shift Adjustment
A few questions:
First, what is the suggested oil pressure for idle and a speed say somewhere around 60-70 mph in a 98 SE w/ the Series 2?
And, is that and way to adjust how hard you have to push on the button to shift out of park? On the car my dad is most likely getting, you have to press really hard to get it out of drive, if there no adjustment I guess we will have to live with it. Same car as above btw, 98 SE.
Thanks for the help.

Normal oil pressure is usually 1 line below 40 at idle and about 1 mark above 40 while driving. I have a Canadian dash so I don't know off the top of my head the real numbers anymore Anywhere in that range or a bit above or below is fine.
On the shift **** button...I don't know..maybe you could take the **** off and cut the white rod a tad shorter...maybe then the button wouldn't have to push in so much? NFC really.

Oil Pressure at drop dead hot idle should be 25-35 Psi depending on the engine operating conditions... and as stated 1850rpms should yield you 60 Psi or at least close to it...
I have seen these 3800 II engines cold start at 70-80 Psi

I'm running about 60 at idle and almost 80 while driving, but it is on a new rebuild with a Fram Tough Guard filter on it. Also, my idle is set just a tad higher than normal.
