Stuttering, lack of power problem...
My '95 SSE was stuttering and missing the last couple days with no Check Engine light. I put in a bottle of water remover, thinking maybe that would help, nothing. My stepdad and I take it for a drive and cant figure out what may be causing it. Open the hood, spark plug wire is shorting out to the dipstick. Do ya think this was the problem???

That was exactly the problem!
if that is happening you probably have bad wires! do yourself a favor and replace the plugs and wires it isn't that expensive and you know you will be good then.

I too recommend you get those wires and plugs changed out, especially if it'* been a long time since it was done. Like said above, use good Belden wires from Napa or equal and use AC Delco or NGK plugs.
Make sure the plug wire routings are all clear of problem areas, like the dipstick and the O2 sensor wire on the back side.

Do you need a spark plug wire guide for the front ?
Our cars orignally came with plastic wire holders that attach to the valve cover.
Many people toss them due to the irritation one can derive from not being able to figure the silly thing out.
If you need one..pm me.. I got a couple.. I'll toss one at you supercheap.. I'd rather see them used than see people killing off wires when the cold seasons are rolling in.

Could the shorting out of the wires have messed up the plugs? It runs alot better than it did with the old wires obviously, but it seems like there'* something holding it back now. Any ideas???

But rule of thum here for everyone... If you are replacing the wires, replace the plugs too..
I suggest a set of NGK TR55 plugs... Should be cheap enough

Got the TR55s but it'* too cold to put em in and the garage is full. Hopefully it gets into the 50'* one of these days before the chill sets in for good...
