AHH! I am going to be VERY mad.
The shop found out what the problem was, bad spark plug and bad wire, wire was carbon tracking(MSD wire set!) So, I changed the bad plug, and all the wires. Start it up, notice I have a cracked exhaust manifold and the miss is still there.
I AM GOING TO KILL, Last thing I want is another Bonneville that is going to give me issues. IT WILL BE GONE IF IT DOES.

There is a recall on that. The cracked manifold is due to a backfire. Unless of course I have the wrong problem I barely read the recall so this is very possible.

I tried to pull more codes, still nothing, when u start the car, it idles at like 200 rpms then dies off quick
The SES light is on until you rev it up, then it goes away, It also smells really rich.
All the plug wires are in the right spot, the other plugs are good. I dont get it.
No codes, just runs like its on 5.5 cylinders.

Matt, which manifold? I'm guessing front. I'll check with my machinist to see if my manifold is done yet. It was out to be welded. Aircraft machinists and welders do such a nice job. If so I'll have a front manifold missing the heat shield.

Another thing to keep in mind is supercharged or not...according to my local bone yard...all the manifolds on 3.8'* were the same for a lot of years and they are cheap. The one I picked up was already welded and missing the heat shield.

A cracked UPPER manifold on a Series II is a recall. How did the shop find a bad plug and wire but not a cracked manifold right next to them?

Trust me, the plug was WAY out of gap and the carbon tracking on it was sick.
They also cleaned my MAF sensor and re attached my Air box sensor which had fallen out.
the crack can only be heard with the engine running, it sounds like a small exh leak.
Bah.

Ever since MSD started making their stuff in Mexico they have had major quality control problems....I don't know what happened, they used to be a great company, now I stay away from their products.

This isn't the only forum to have problems with MSD...
