HAHA-too funny!!
Ok-I've done the wiggling of stuff and wires--but--I didn't wiggle the connector going through the firewall, never even occured to me. I'm going to do that on sunday and I'll let you guys know what happens w/that.
BTW--sometimes when the compass does come on(more then the dic)it'* very dim--like the connector isn't fully engaged.

Ok--I wiggled the hell out of the firewall connector--no luck.:(
today while driving home, the compass came on very dimly. When it used to do that before-I used to bang on the dash to see what would happen-and it always made the display go right back out.
Any other suggestions?
