It could be a bad solenoid in the driver'* door, or maybe a problem in the linkage, but once it'* unlocked, can you _lock_ it using the remote? If you're using the door key to unlock it, do the other doors unlock at the same time? And does it unlock properly when you press the inside button? I'd check your wiring, especially where it jumps the door hinge.

I know on mine when I press the remote, the driver'* door unlock is done separately, first, and then it unlocks all the other doors if you press the Unlock on the remote again within 20 seconds. If yours is supposed to do that, too, and doesn't unlock the driver'* door but _does_ unlock the others with the second press, I wonder if you've got a break in the line from the controller to the driver'* door lock. If so, it'* most likely going to be where that bundle jumps the gap from dashboard to driver'* door.

Hi No it doesn't UNLOCK with the other doors..even though it locks with them and i do have to press it twice to unlock all the doors..but the drivers door is suppose to unlock with the first press. I can lock it from the inside with the power lock that locks all the doors but it won't UNLOCK with that system either...even though all the other doors do...so if I am inside I have to unlock it with my hand if it is locked...and from the outside itonly unlocks with the key..and as stated the key remote DOES lock it but Does NOT UNLOCK it! and the inside switch DOES lock it but DOES NOT UNLOCK it!

let me know whatu think!

Okay, so under no circumstances can you get the thing to UNlock under its own power, yes? Looks like the solenoid itself is having some sort of problem there. Someone is going to need to go into the door for a closer look at that solenoid, I think.

Your door may need a new bumper kit. Can you feel the lock moving when you press the unlock button?

If if locks/unlocks when you use the switch inside the door, I'd suspect the relay that controls that door. This is what allows you to only unlock that door the first time you press the button on the remote. I've never heard of one of these going bad, but there'* always a first time right?

Sounds like a bumper kit problem. Both of my front doors did exactly the same thing. See Deathrat'* post above.

ok just to get back on fixing this problem..what is a bvumper kit? where is it located?

i can kinda feel the lock kicking..like it has actually unlocked but miss when pushing the lock out..HUMM now that i think about it when i use the remote to unlock the doors (which only unlock the other 3) I have to lock it back with the remote in order to get the key to unlock the door..(acting like it is unlocked already when it is not)

thanks
