Let me know. I sure would hate to hurt it worse.
Reasonable? I would think so, following your steps so far, that would be my next step. Randman has instructed the safest path for you to follow as far as I am concerned, removing that unit would not be on my list of things to do first, but checking the 5 or six lines from it would be no.1. Remember, take each step from the easiest to the hardest and not in the reverse order.......

I was wondering when you would cave in Remember to puchase the "custom" parts: shop vac hose, electrical tape, and string. (james, you should post the pics I sent of my "custom" vent by-pass). Has been 113*-114* last two days. I think I'm doing the passenger side "vent" soon.

james, check the lines 1st. Hopefully you do not have to cut, just remove. The fit is tight, but you should be able to twist/pull and remove the lines from the connector.

BTW, thanks to e-bay, last night, I became the proud owner of books 1 and 2 (of 2) of the 1997 H-body Full Service Manuals. (Big thanks go to randman for confirming for me that these are the same one'* he has, before I submitted my bid). I don't know how long they will take to get here. Randman, I would like to say that we won't be relying on you as much, but, depending on what I see and how "technical" these books are, I am sure we still will need to call onl. I will do my best to help out for all 1997 owners. Nick, you gotta get the 97 SSEI now!

It is another possibility. Certainly a good point about the broken parts in the programmer. Where in the past we may have said you have a bad programmer go replace it, this article gives ways to fix it.

Just read about cutting the plastic lines...from the earlier post. I wouldn't cut them, if at all possible unhook them and test that way.

Default Hey

Tried pulling the plastic female thing off but could not get in off. Im thinking that this HVAC unit will absolutley have to come off the dash. I am going to look in the glove compartment again today to see if I can get to the bolt from there.

Next Im going to take my blower motor off and see if I can,,,hit it or clean it off or talk sweet toit and see if it will give me another month or two or six, ya know.

If I don't come back I have attached a rope to my ankle, just pull me out!!!!!!
