Question traction control problems

ok, so nichole told me today that she had some light coming on in the bonneville that looked like this: (!) and it was red. its the brake light and it keeps flashing on when she'* on slippery roads and the traction control is engaging. why is it doing this? the ABS is working fine and the traction control seems to be working too but should this light be coming on as well? btw, the warning chime isn't ringing when the light flashes.

The only thing that comes to mind right now is to check the brake fluid level.
