I would put a new, correct TPS sensor in.

I seemed to have fixed it, went to Oreillys and got the correct TPS and switched it out and i pulled the battery cables off for 30 mins and it runs correctly now, as far as i can tell. Im hoping that when i go to drive it tomorrow that it doesnt act up again. Also my cruise control stopped working at the same time as the no downshift issue, and with the new tps it turns on and works again!! I really appreciate all the input on the issue! This is a great place to get some questions answered. Thanks eveyone!
