I don't think the funky chicken things were available in 95, Tam, but if you get something to work, let me know. I don't recall my manual saying anything about chickens.

Okay, got the manual out....

Remote Keyless Entry (option)

If your Pontiac has this option, you can lock and unlock your doors or unlock your trunk from up to 30 feet (9m) away using the key chain trasmitter supplied with your vehicle.

Operation:

The driver'* door will unlock when the UNLOCK button is pressed. If pressed again within 25 seconds it will unlock all doors. Also, if car is equipped with a locking feul filler door it will unlatch at this time. All doors will lock when LOCK is pressed.

The trunk will unlock when the opened trunk symbol on the key fob is pressed, but only when the ignition is off.

Press any button to illuminate the interior lamps.

It doesn't say anything about it being programmable

Oh phooey :( I've been thinking of getting a keyless entry from a newer car (one with the horn option too) DO you think it would work then?? And how hard do you think it would be to wire up the horn, as well??
Opinions and thoughts are welcome

As for the keyless I have no idea if the wires are there for that.. By chance does the keyless work in tandum with the Body controll module...?Upon looking at the RPO Codes again,I found an A90 that stands for-( lock RR Compartment Remote Controll Electric Release) Does this mean power trunk release?

Deathrat for the A codes I have

AAA AG1 AK5 AP9 AS5 AT6 AT9 A90 Also 1SC 1SZ These have to do with package options, I just don't know for sure what they mean... I have found some but its till a little confusing...
AAA > ????
AG1 > ADJUSTER, SEAT 6 WAY POWER, DRIVER 60/40 VAR2
AK5 > RESTRAINT SYSTEM, FRONT SEAT, INFLATABLE, DRIVER AND PASSNGER
AP9 > NET, CONVENIENCE
AS5 > SEAT, FRONT BUCKET DELUX
AT9 > CONTROL SEAT, POWER LUMBAR PASSENGER
A90 > LOCK REAR COMPARTMENT LID, REMOTE CONTROL, ELECTRIC RELEASE
1SC > ???
1SZ > ???
THERE YOU GO!

Default Chickens funky or not that is the Question?????????

So It all has to do with weather or not you have the security option or not .. My '98 SSE came with security feature . So I can choose to unlock all doors with just one touch or set the horn off (panic - emergency ) button . You need a remote with a horn symbol on it .. I don't have my manual available now or I'de look it up sorry.. Later

Also, whta'* the deal with cars locking as soon as it'* put in gear? should my car be doing this, and how do i do it?
Quickest way to tell if you have keyless entry is to use your door key in the driver side door and unlck it hold the key to left for 3 seconds and if you hear a click all of the doors are unlocked the u have keyless entry.

The statement I gave earlier is if a person bought a car eqiupped with keyless entry but don't have the unit.

If Deathrat is correct, ALL Bonnevilles came with keyless. This would mean anyone 'missing' a fob, could get one and re-program.
