Any idea what you paid for the POR15 as well as the size? I can't wait for Bandit to check pricing, heck I can't wait for most things he promises me anymore. :P

Is that $54.00 for each small can? I went through the web site, but there are so many links options applications blah blah blah. I think I need several hours to figure out which on I need for which application for which step. Ok, I'm tired now.

Thank THUNDER!

2 points for mr floyd.. you are correct sir.

Prices are
4 oz............................$10.00
Pint.............................$31.00 1 pint is 0.4732 liter (half liter) approx
Quart...........................$46.00 1 quart is 0.9461 liter ( 1 liter) approx
Gallon.......................$148.00 1 gallon is 3.784 liter. ( just under 4 liters ) approx
5 Gallon....................$635.00

6 4oz cans for 54.00 , this way there is no open can with left over to dry out and go bad.
and you probably already know the conversion ,, just an fyi.

edit.
por15 is subject to ultraviolet light so there is a sealer available . but under the car doesnt require sealer , unles you park on a mirror.. there is a prep/cleaner that you can use before but the label says paint right over rust. so unless its covered in grease or oil you ok to just use the por 15 by itself.

Jim, Thunder, thanks for the explanation.

Man O Man, I was at Carlisle a couple of months back and they had it at one of the booths which they were selling for $115.00 per gallon and I passed on it cause I thought that it wasn't a great deal. I had no idea what they were worth but in hindsight, I should have bought it.How much would it take to do the frame and underbody?

It took me 5 hours start to finish to do mine, that includes 3 hours drying time before the second coat. I did it on my back with a brush.

Other tips:

- Don't use the POR-15 straight from the original can, pour it into something else.
- Seal the can with plastic wrap in between the lid so it doesn't seal shut forever.
- Clean the area of dirt/oil, etc. with their Marine Clean, or a degreaser that doesn't leave a greasy residue. I used sand papaer on smoother metal to roughen the surface. It has held up extremely well and hasn't chipped off - and never will when done right.
