Hey guys i just joined i really need help i was going to take off my emerg. brake and it broke.. i don't know where at but the brake is still about halfway on i would say. its not to big of a hurry i don't need my car for a couple of days but i would greatly appriciate the help of what i can do or where to start looking to fix it... thanks

Just for clarification, are you saying that when you pull the parking brake release it doesn't disengage the pedal? If so, the cable might have become disconnected. Pull down the driver'* side hush panel and inspect the end of the cable, see if it'* still there. You can manually release it but don't let it just pop out. You can pinch your fingers easily if you just let it fly.Use your other hand to release it slowly.

Had that on the '93 before we got rid of it. The cable broke way in the back, underneath between the wheels. There'* a metal connector there where the cables come together that rusted away.

When I got mine the e brake cable need reoil. IT would acutal work it just wouldn't spring back once it was release. Had to stuck your foot underneath and pull it back up
