Most likely what your mechanic friend will find is a bad O2 causing the rich condition and either a plugged cat or a cat begging for fresh air.

As well.. and I'm sorry to say, the value wires that were put on a year ago are frequently only good for about a year. The plugs (what brand?) may be fouled from the overly enriched motor, but can probably be cleaned via a few good spirited romps once the other issues are resolved.

Vaccum leaks are most likely another big part of the problem. I'd stop by the local parts store and get a couple feet of each off the spools (low cost) and replace all lines that look cracked or leave you finger black when you touch the line.

Vac lines are all new. I did that last year when it was starved for power.

O2 is possible. Though he said he is 99% sure its not the cat because of the exhaust pressure. Said it would run worse if the cat were plugged.

Im not driving it right now. Just waiting till saturday. If the wires are bad I will take them to Autovalue and get new ones. They are lifetimes anyhow.

O2 is fine. Mass Airflow Sensor is fine. TPS is fine. Cat is fine.

Appears I am back to the Ignition system somewhere again.

I am going to warentee out the wires and replace the plugs. I am hoping to find a deal on Coil & Ign Module.

It runs smooth at 2k, above and below it is a gas chowing pig with no power. :(

I miss my car.

Plugs looked like used plugs but still solid and not fouled.

The coil was replaced, but because it didn't make a diff, i returned the new one and put back on the old one. :?:

My Mechanic called it right. Apparently the coil went bad and spiked the Module.

Replaced both in a pair and shes back to life!

I missed her.

I kinda wasted a week on it because I tried the new coil and it made no change so i moved on.

All the modules i have ever had go bad were heat sensitive.
