Default Headlight "bounces"

I noticed that when I follow a car at night I can see my headlight reflection bounce off their bumper when I hit a bump in the rode. Its not as bad as I've seen in some cars, but still annoying. Is there a fix for this or do I require new headlights?

Your headlights are different than mine, but I had that happen once. There'* a small tab on the back of my assembly that wasn't hooked into the front subframe correctly. I re-positioned it, and solved the problem.

I got this same problem. It annoys everyone but me, I'm used to it.
I was going to check it out tonight after I get done cleaning out the car.

My first Bonneville had that problem. It had been in an accident and never properly fixed. My headlight was bouncing around because there was a bracket attached to the bottom of the headlight that wasn't attached to the frame. I did some custom fabricating and built a mount that held that baby in tight and no more bouncing. Pop your hood and rock the headlight that you think is loose with your hand and look for where it should be mounted to the frame but it'* not.

MIne does it, and I have tried to fix it. Seems like it is poor design from the get go on the 96-99s. I have had others following me and see it do it. It is so annoying when you see the reflection on road signs.
