I know you wouldn't beat on your car, but have you spun the tires since you got it?

They are already placing blame, let them know you won't take that from them, and you want what you paid for. Not a half-assed job.

I doubt a tranny shop would be able to tell the difference, especially since it'* the stock size for 92/93.

yeah, but it sounds like there already trying to find a way out of giving him a new transmission, so they might do a little research. it should still be 100% covered, just making a suggestion, maybe they had some sort of provision about not modding a car? even if you where spinning the tires, that makes no difference, but you probably wern't. ive never seen a transmission warranty say "only good if you don't do burnouts"

Man that sucks. I hope they don't d!ck around with you Baron. Get a new tranny out of that at no cost! They didn't rebuild it right.

And are there any warning signs of these planetary gears blowing out? Noises you'd hear..? I mean it seems to have just gone in a blink of an eye (well literally it did) on RedBaron. Mine'* been rebuilt and I've probably tested the limits of it several times.

I got a laughable piece of junk mail from some outfit trying to sell us an extended warranty on our minivan. Full of claims about all the good stuff they cover that never breaks, and assorted weasel wording to get them out of covering the stuff that _does_ break. IIRC, they'd cover a broken trans housing if it was, say, hit by a meteor (but _not_ road debris) or if an internal component grenaded itself, but only if that internal component was itself covered. Sigh...

Good luck with your claim, and for God'* sake don't try to _drive_ it back to the tranny shop; have them tow it in at their expense.

Well turns out the tranny went because of me abusing it and the warranty doesnt cover abuse. He wants me to go look at the damage Monday night. He says 100% the only way a differential gear can blow is by spinning the tires, and not by improper installation. This tranny went bone dry twice since they rebuilt it because of leaks caused by their quality worksmanship, I mentioned that to him and he said that would not cause the tranny to blow like it did. I dont think that could have helped much.
Before he saw the car he said abuse caused it to fail. Now he wants 600 bux to fix it.
I am not going to pay this guy to work on my car again. What should I do now?
I think he should pay, I have warranty still and there is no details on the warranty what so ever it just says "Warranty 1 year 20000 kms"
What should I do now?

If he'* not going to be working on it any more anyway, tell him you're getting an attorney, since the 'bone dry' incidents are well-documented. See what his reaction is.
