We are talking about alot of power but it is a very quick burst. Haven't you ever been shocked by a spark plug before. I think it is mostly voltage though so it isn't really bad the current is what kills. I have been shocked several times I don't think it is as bad as what a wall socket puts out though. Wall sockets can put out some big currents and they can sure knock you on you A$$.

ok guys, im in deep now. The city came by today to put a "move it or lose it" tag on my car. turns out my neighbors called on me for having a few cars in my yard. ive got 10 days to have the car running and registered. i checked out the car today and none of the plugs have spark. what should i look into next? im going to check fo fuel pressure when i go back outside in a few minutes

ok i bought a new crank sensor today
im 100% sure the old one is bad now
the new one has three little things poking out where the old one has one...
my dad (serious super smart electronics guy) says it would need at least two to work, and the instructions for the sensor say to put the sensor so the metal on the harmonic passes between the inner two, so hopefully after i change it out it will work

ok got the car apart, got the new snesor in, but i'll have to wait til tommorow to get a new harmonic
dad says "there is no way in hell" i will get the fins on the harmonic back right
what cars can i pull a harmonic off?
fuddy, i tried to use a screwdriver through a hole in the harmonic to keep it from turning while my younger brother cranked the rachet, but i of course couldn't hold it and as the screwdriver rotated it bent one of the fins outward, then i tried to correct the bend. i got it within a bout a mm but it wasnt close enough and as soon as i turned the engine over it snapped the sensor
TY jr, i try

i was going to do the screw driver in the flywheel trick but i didnt have the car up in the air and there is only like 3in of ground clearance
both times ive had it off i used my old serpentine belt, pulled it off the tensioner, and wrapped it around the harmonic
saved me alot of time getting under the car, which it turns out is always parked in a wet spot since the sun cant get to the ground to dry it
my dad says for sure since the fin on the harmonic now has this nice little bend too far in then bend too far it, that that'* what killed the sensor

i got home at 4:30 today, called the only pull-it junkyard in town, they have about 30 that will fit my car, but they close at 4:45 and they are 3 mi outside of town
so there was no way i could make it today
going to try to get my 8hrs in early tommorrow so i can be out there by 4:00
they only want $12, but i have to pull it
the other junkyard in town wants $50 and my old harmonic and they pull it
