I had the car apart and didnt mark the position of these wires, it wont start now and if i can get these right i can start looking for other problems
my question is, What is the correct order, left to right from the front of the car) for the spark plug wires? what cylinders are they supposed to go to?

Something you have to be aware of on the newer cars is that two of the plugs spark at the same time. You should have at least have 1-4, 2-5, and 6-3 paired up on one coil pack. I think It goes from left to right on the coil pack 6-3, 2-5, 1-4 but i may be wrong. If I remember right the 87 has the coil pack at the back of the engine with the main wire connection pointing towards the passangers side.


So it sould be like this if I remember

Ok I think I was wrong on the Coil Pack.

Looks right. It doesn't matter what one comes first on each coil. As long as the 3 and 6 are together, the 5 and 4 are together and the 1 and 2 are together it will be just fine. That is what is fasinating about how these engines work. They accually waste a spark. For instance when 3 and 6 spark at the same time the 6 is in its compression and ready to fire and the 3 is being exhausted.

i didnt even know the sensor was there until i went to pull the timing cover off and realized there was a wire there under the grease and dirt

Not to just keep this topic going but when you try to start it does it act like it is going to start at all. I have a friend with an 87' SE and we were plaining with the ECM and Coils one day. We pulled off the coil packs and were seeing what all was under them. To find out it is just a big square with 6 wires coming out that is cover completely in what looks like some kiinda silicon. Now to the point after doing this his car wouln't start. We ended up replaceing the ECM and it started right up. You mentioned the crank sensor. It souldn't keep it from starting and running. I drove my 88' Bonneville for about 6 months when it was shooting codes at me the the Crank Shaft Sensor was bad. What all did you have apart when this happened. If you were any were near electricaly you could have blown something with static electricity. Texas should be getting pretty warm and dry which is great weather for static electricity. Something else you might try is get somebody to help you . Lay under the car by the gas tank and have them turn the igintion on. Don't start it just turn it over to the middle position. You should hear the fuel pump turn on. If not There is a fuel pump fuse behind the glove box. There is also a test wire up front to test the pump I don't exactly rememeber how to use it but it seems like on the 87' it was on the drivers side up by the air filter box. I know on my 88 it was setting by the battery on the passangers side. It will be just one wire hanging loose that will have a flat connection on the end. I really don't remember how to use it, but I know it is there. You might have to short it will a positive power supply(PLEASE DO A LITTLE RESEARCH BEFORE YOU SHORT IT I AM NOT SURE IF THIS IS RIGHT )

The ECM and Fuel Pump is where I would start.

i kinda partied alot this weekend so im hoping to be healthy enought to work on it tommorrow
thank for reminding me about fuel, i realized the car was almost empty when i parked it, it had like 1/16th tank but i put $5 in it from a can os i know its got gas in the tank now
im just kinda being lazy because the car is parked in the lower part of the yard and recent rains have made it soggy
