Who knows... all I know is it was dealer installed before we bought the car in 91. Unfortunately I don't have a whole lot of time these days, so I am unable to devuldge into my car too much for a while.

I still have the drivers' foot area open. I took a few pictures of the surface and will take a few more as I keep looking around. It may take me a week (after the holiday) to post them up, if anyone wants to see or copy them.
I noticed a crack in one of the vacuum hoses and another on a fitting up on the vacuum distribution block. I'll need to address those while solving the stutter/misfire condition.
Like I need sleep..
edit:
I pulled plug wires today and the misfire was not worse when I pulled the #6 wire. The spark seemed weaker (sound) than the other, with the #3 being a close second (same coil block).

Anti-Theft Module '91 SSE
The copy of a service manual I obtained from a friend said that the '91 SSE anti-theft module should be located above the left kick panel and behind the dash. In reality, it is located (at least in my '91) above the accellerator pedal. I found it by tracing the wire colors and locating the in-line fuses under the dash.
Here'* a copy of the electrical schematic --> PDF file of Anti-Theft Schematic
Here'* what it looks like under the dash... (I'll edit the size)
The anti-theft relay is zip-tied to the anti-theft module, and the ignition interrupt relay is attached to the module by a single screw. The module is held on the bracket by a single screw. A 7mm socket was used to remove both screws. Once the module was loose, it slides toward the dash and up to release from the bracket. Then I brought it toward the dash and rotated inboard and down to remove it from underneath.
