Recommendations for ball joint, tie rod ens, bushing pullers
Anybody got any suggestions/recommendations on what tie rod puller, ball joint puller and control arm bushing remover/installer to purchase for use on my 88/89 bonnies? Do I have to buy the factory J tools?? or can I get away with some less costly versions???
Thanks

Off hand I don't see where your from, but if your from Canada, you can get these tools loaned to you by Canadian Tire Corporation no charge.......as well as the parts needed. Unfortunately, the new part you'll have to pay for.
Good luck!

I'm going by expreience on a different model year (93) but if you are replacing the ball joints and tie rod ends, a pickle fork and a big hammer will do. The fork tears up the grease seals so if you intend on using them again, try to locate one of these:
Here'* a thread that discusses the tool.
As far as control arm bushings go, I hope to find the appropriate tool in Autozone'* loaner tool program. I need to do mine too but I haven't reaearched the tools cause of the damn snow.
