Default Removing Everything! Any advice?

I'm turning my '90 Bonne into a themed car. I'll not divuldge everything until I'm done, but I need to tear out the door panels and the dash so I can cover them with new material. Plus the headliner, seats, and carpet.

I'm making everything white. do you think dye would work well on the carpet or should I just replace the material? I have blue interior currently. Also, the dash is a foam material so I thought it would be better to cover than to paint. any suggestions?

anything to watchout for while tearing things apart? I only have power locks. no power seats, windows or anything else.

SEM paint is a flexible paint designed for plastic, vinyl and even carpet. I haven't seen them carry white though. Just like the above mentioned transition of the carpet, it'* going to be difficult to go from blue to white anything.

I'd say that you have a mighty big task on your hands.

what about bleach? that may work.. get a carpet sample from lowes or home depot, and buy a bottle of clorox [reg, not lemon] and see if it takes the colour out.. if it does, go for it on your carpet, if it doesn't, then don't even bother.

it might ruin the carpet to bleach it, you could always find a test piece and try it out though

There is this stuff that made for bleaching fabrics. It probably won't work though. You could try to get a custom carpet made. Expensive, if it is even possible, but it would be your best bet. What is this "theme" that you are planning? It sounds like you are building a Pimp-mobile.....anyone else have any guesses??

ACC should have H body carpet too (atleast they do for my delta) and they do pretty much any color under the sun ... and it should be less then $300

as for blue to white.... possible... but you'll probably need to respray it 4 or 5 times .. which might effect the flexibility of the carpet and make it kinda brittles and crunchy

I feel your pain though.. I'm going from Red to Gray/black with mainly spray dye

I had my carpet redone custom. What the guy did is take the original carpet out of the car, cleaned it real well, sprayed the entire thing with upholestry glue and laid the new carpet on top. This did two things : it formed perfectly and added soundproofing by having two thick carpets. Looks great.
