Yep, me too. Me mum'* VW Beetle.. [2004] rides like ****, but my '89 rides like she'* on glass. Not bad for a 16 year old car.

I love my Bonne. I was skeptical when I first got it, but after driving it and working on it I'm pretty much sold on buying another if something happens to what I have now.

Mine floats too much.

Front struts are good, no more than 20,000 miles (32k km) on them. They're KYB.

Rear air shocks were from 2004. Monroe middle-grade.

I have no steering feel.
I have no brake feel.
To add insult to injury, the brakes are non-linear. Highway off-ramp stopping can invoke a "euhhhhhhhh" from both drivers and passengers. The feeling of the threshold between ABS/wheel lockup is zilch.

If it should be like what you guys are praising, the hell has happened to my car in the last 320,000km?! Everything is still in mechanically sound order.

But eh, $2000 was paid for it four years ago, I guess it'* been worth it. As a point A-to-B car.
