"Service Engine Soon"
Hey, I'm back with another problem. Since I bought the car the "service engine soon" light keeps going on after starting the engine. As the car is quiet old I figured out it might be a commen problem. Is it really a serious engine-problem or could the cause be something else. By the way, I read a thrat about displaying the failure code without using a GM Code Reader. Has anyone ever done this before and can tell me something about it?

Well, the problem is that the car stands in Germany and there are no Autozone shops and non of the garages I visited yet was able to read out the codes.

He was just being sarcastic. Don't take it anywhere yet. All you have to do is exactly what is described in that article. Then once you get the code, tell us what it is and we can go from there.

When you report back, let us know the codes... And I'm going to take a guess and say 87-88 Bonneville?
