type II
If it were not winter here one of the guys could stop at the Junk yard and mail you a type II Ign.
As far as plugs go Every car I've bought had Delco plugs in them when I got it and I had to take them out.
My moms 88 Park Ave had stock Delco'* and wouldn't start below 20 deg. F.
Put in the champions and WOW.
Same with my 90 SSE and 96 SE.
Put Bosch Platinums in and what a difference.
In my opinion you can get much better performance with choosing the right plug and heat range for you individual driving conditions.
Please let us know how the Hotter champions work out.

In my SSE 1990 there are the Delco plugs installed and I have no problems to start the engine on temperatures like 5°F(-15°C).
Here in Austria there I have no problems to get Delco parts.

Nobsi

glad to hear it worked out Bud.
Same thing with my moms Park.
Used to race cars years back and allways got the best performance with a hotter champion plug.
You can get longevity with platinum but for pure performance I love em.

other people don't want to believe me on this....Thanks for letting us know.
Also don't be surprised if you get better MPG now.
That comes with better spark.
