How many times have you found the fuel cutoff? Our LN3'* do have one
ive never hit it the fastest ive ever had it had to have been like 117 cuz it was right above the 120 and it was touchin the redline in 3rd so i just let it off, im pretty sure overdrive at 120 is a little hard on the tranny

however i hit the fuel cutoff just about every other day in the alero

*edit* Have YOU hit the cutoff in ur LE or SSE???????????
Wait im confused.. I did this once and im sure that my car stays in third till about 115-120. Doesn't it just shift into 4th?

I thought there was nothing like that in our cars. Oh well. If you say there is one at 120 MPH, thats pretty fast. (thats 200 KPH, correct?) Unfortunatly, i don't know about the bonny'*, but the Speedo only goes to 160 KPH, which is a bit shy of 200 KPH.

Now, I imagine going 200 MPH in third, is pretty hard on the engine. What If you disconnected the TV cable, would that keep the tranny in 4th and TCC locked up, so we could go fast, 200 KPH (120 MPH) at say, 3000-3500 rpm, or something like that, to keep the engine happy? I mean, going 200 KPH, and having the engine at redline, is a bit nerve whacking, because its not meant to be prolongly revved that fast.

ohhh i thought u meant governer....yea i hit the cutoff before when my tranny wasnt behaving and didnt shift fast enough but never in the top end, my car is too damaged to get it that fast, the frame is bent, no alignment whatsoever, motor mounts bad. maybe once i get it all fixed with parts from the grey one ill try it out tho
