almost like when in park motor/trans is still trying to push forward? when u finally shift to D and u let off brake does car lunge forward without hitting gas? or could it possible just be the shift linkage..

Is this a change from how it used to behave or your first encounter with the car? Some of them have a bit of tug when put into gear, I wouldn't consider that a problem as it won't require you to step harder on the brake pedal, rather be a PITA to remember to control if used to other cars, and put more stress on transmission over time.
If you aren't parked on a semi-steep hill my guess would be the brake pedal lockout switch.
