Of course, I could be wrong, and it could be just another wire for something else, but Like i said, white and tan wires.
white and tan on the front is what i have on mine, so im guessing u have the system, heres a possible combination

a sensor is bad somewhere (most likely the hood or the trunk) and the light in the dash is burnt out

or the module could be bad

or one of the wires could be shot

i know nothing about the placement of the components on a lesabre so dont ask me where they are

Hi Ive got the same problem!

Hear you can read about it http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=43731

But I think I´ve narrowed down the problem to my left rear door.

When the door is opened the light goes on but its not turning up on the DIC as an open door.
I just checked the plug in the door jamb, it seems to be work alright. One blue and one white wire.

But whats controlling the DIC/Security System? What shall I look for in the door?

When all the doors are closed and locked I get the solid security lamp, but it wont go off.

And also the lock for the gas is not working properly, but i dont think its connected to the security system.

the dic is a sensor in the door'* locking mechanism, the security system relies on the door plunger which you already said is good

on my car it was the sensor in the trunk, i had to pull back the lining and by the lock for the trunk theres a hole in the trunk and a few wires in it, i had to fish out the sensors wire and it pulled out the sensor with it, its a whiteish plastic with a long metallic line coming out of it which was broken on mine, just disconnect/discard it and the security system should arm. if not its a sensor somewhere else in the car.

Yes. The alarm has 2 inline fuses next to the module - both were above the accelerator pedal in my SSE. One fuse is for the sensor circuit. The other fuse is for the alarm indicators (horn, lights...). Pull the indicator fuse and the lamp will go out.
