Default A couple things in this one......

I have a couple situations that I hope someone out there can help me out with.
The first one is the sound that comes from my car when I shift either into reverse, or out of reverse into drive. It sounds like something may be loose, just not sure what it could be.
The second issue is a bit more complex. It all started when my uncle attempted to install a new power antenna for me. He noticed that the wiring wasn't getting the proper power and something seemed suspicious. The antenna would work, then it wouldn't work, and that process continued. On another trip to his house, he hunted down the wiring diagrams for my car in an attempt to possibly find a bad ground somewhere because some other things have been acting strangely. My map lights don't work, my passenger side doesn't have lights at all, and the interior power locks do not work, but we can't seem to locate any type of problem. Any help with this one?
One more and I swear I'm done with this post. My driver'* side door does not lock with the rest of the doors. It never goes into the lock position. What'* up? Thanks for any help ahead of time. I know this is a lot to put into one post, but if I didn't say it now I'd forget it all. Thanks again!!

1. motor mounts??? have someone shift through the gears as you watch with the hood open..how much does it move?

2. body control module?

3. lube the locks?

If you try to manually lock the doors.. does it move? If that is the case, they are seized.. or at least something is seized in the lock system.

haro hit the nail on the head.. motor mount issue [most likely.. I have the same problem, but only with Reverse].

Not sure about the Body Control Module though.. not sure if we have that. However, what I do know is that sounds like a ground issue.

For the doors I would agree with it being seized or just about seized. I know I have to hit the power lock button a couple times to make sure all the doors lock or unlock.

As for the noise when shifting, very possible it is the motor mounts.

Now for your power antenna. I just installed one last weekend. It came with one but was broken so I had one of those rubber ones in the meantime. So I had the connection that went to the OEM one still sitting there. I tested the wires with ignition off and found a constant 12 and the ground. As soon as I turned the key on the ground was not ground anymore and everything was backwards. But with the Kay on I was able to figure out what wire was what.

When I still had the key off and thought I had the right wires, +12 and ground, I tested it with the power antenna to see if it would move, well as soon as I tried, I heard the speakers in the car turn on then off with a strange noise. When I went into the car I could smell something burning, wich makes me wonder if the power antenna runs through the amp ( I have an SSE and have that bass/gain button by my shifter).

Did all the other things stop working around the same time?? or were they acting up before?

That sounds exactly like what my uncle and I experienced, down to the sound from the speakers and everything. The power lock on the drivers side basically never worked since I've had the car, but everything else quit working about the same time we screwed around with the wiring and everything. Obviously the events are related, but how exactly is still my question?

Well that I am not sure. If you did experience the sound with the speakers and all, then he hooked it up wrong.

I didn't hard wire everything in, I just touched the wires on the correct spaces on the OEM plug. I knew something was wrong. So once I had the key on and did the same thing by first testing what was +12 and what was ground, then figured out wich one was the constant 12 and wich one for the ignition 12. I don't remember off have wich colors are what. I can maybe have a look this weekend to see wich ones I used from the OEM harness.

My bet is that he melted a wire that is now shorting out the other ones.
