Scanning tool for Coilpack?
Does anybody know of any scanning tools to use for coilpacks?
It seems that I've got an engine mis-fire & I need to try to isolate the problem in the coil-pack.
I've already replaced the coil-pack ($100.00), but the problem'* still there.
Now I want to scan the coilpack & see which coil is not functioning.
Take it easy eh.

Scan tool is going to tell you nothing.... At the worst you may gae a code for misfire diagnosis... But the ECM will never tell you where the missfire is...
Are one of the coils dead? Is it a single or double cylinder miss?
Your looking at anything from the coil, to the plug or wire, right down to a single injector....

misfire
I like to use my little spark tester on the wires. You loop the wire in it and the pincil sized stick has a little light that flashes to test for spark at all cylinders.

Pull a jumper to open any circuit.
Took a trip to the surplus house and about a hour to build. Works nicely with a Tek dual trace scope.
