Default Magnaflow muffler and Cat Convertor

Is anyone running a magnaflow setup on their 87-91? I bought a new catalytic convertor just about a year ago, but I can get a muffler, convertor, and nice tips for a good price. Will there be a big improvement? Sound better? The size is 2.5" for everything with dual outlets on the muffler.

I am already getting a delco ignition setup for the car to replace the magnavox setup, hopefully that will help the lack of power I have around 2k rpm now.

I am still torn between trying to get the car more enjoyable to drive or letting it go, if this will help it out it would be worth it.

I have a Flowmaster 80 and a Magnaflow high-flo cat. How does it sound? Fricken amazing. The idle is deep and intimidating, and it seems the sweet spot is around 2000 RPM'*. It gets very loud and deep. Performance wise, I felt there was a big difference especially off the line. There are lots of videos around here of both the Magnaflow and Flowmaster setup.

Here are some sound clips of newer gen Bonne'*. Theres a good clip of sse1990 around here with the Magnaflow setup, and another good one is Merlin91/97 Flowmaster setup. If you can't find them tell me your email and I'll send them to you.

This is what mine looks like. (Sorry the car is so gross. )

I hope this helps your desicion. If the car is in good working order, I see no reason to get another. If it is getting rough and you have money, buy a newer Bonneville.

I have the OEM cat but a magnaflow exhaust and it sounds great. I do have sound clips, I even have a couple posts with them in it. I am just too tired to search for them. I do find that the sound clips don't do it justice though.

It'* a nice deep tone and is not annoyingly loud. I mean you know it isn't stock but you can still cruise the HWY and not get drowned out by the sound.
