I was just curious, when you did your ignition coil swap, did you gain any MPG with the car? I'm getting bored & need to tinker with something while the Camaro'* on the back burner

I just did it a couple weeks ago, and I havn't noticed anything. However my O2 sensor is shot so my MPG is probably pretty ugly anyway (replacement is in the mail).

Just do the mod regardless - it helped my car in so many ways when it came to starting.

Aye.. the switch yielded some seriously awesome results.

-Increased Throttle Response
-Better Fuel Economy [in most cases]
-Easier cold starts
-and many more

Now, I flooded my engine before I did this.. I tried started the car with the Magnavox Ignition [already REALLY shot in my case]. The car would just stumble.. so I re-flooded it some more, replaced the ICM and Coil[*]. I went to start the car, and instead of stumbling around and having no performance whatsoever for 10+ miles, she fired right up, revved the engine stumbled for a sec, recovered and then she was cleared up. This is with several year old plugs, plug wires, o2 sensor, all that ****. I did not replace any of these items at the time, so I am sure with the replacement of these things the gain will be all the more apparent.
