I was just wondering, about a month ago the wire going to my cam sensor burned through (got too close to the manifold) and my car wouldn't start at all without that cam sensor working. They rewired it, and it worked okay, but replaced the cam sensor, too, since they were there. Is there a difference here?

Well, it wasn't the module/coilpack :( . The next thing I guess would have to be the Cam position sensor but since I haven't the tools to do the job, I have to pay the piper. :(
