Tail lenses
Just wondering , my Tail lenses are getting worse just cracked somemore has anyone just removed lenses ,how did this look and workout for you.You know how tough it is to get these.thanks

Well, it depends on what you mean by "lens." There are several different styles of tail lights around that year, but if your talking about the clear plastic outer lens cover, then yes, it looks just fine without it. I'm actually in the process of taking mine off right now. I know some other people around here have done it to so they might chime in here on this. A pic of what you're talking about would be helpfull to

My 89 had the plastic removed- and it liioke not bad at all- but it makes the thin black plastic pieces fragile- and the light is no longer sealed, so dirt gathers in the light. But it worked well for a while, the other option is to 87-88 rear lights- which i've also seen and it looked good. I knew someone else that put a light tint spray on them and it looked really good.

For now i think Ill have to do that as it probably looks worse all cracked and water trapped inside thanks for responding.

Yeah, It'll definitelly look better than the cracked foggy ones that you have now. If you're real careful you can try and take it off in one piece and clean it up and re-glue it in there. Thats what I initially wanted to do.....but as soon as I barely touched that clear plastic it just shattered(gotta love that old brittle stuff ) But yeah, wish ya luck.

Well mine are too far gone for glue , they werentt foggy either just cracked and now missing a piece.Ill just keep checking the yard.After shipping and all to canada Ebay ones are pretty expensive.thanks.
