Tran sticks in third at 60-100 mph
My car have a problem going into every gear. but "R".
IT goes in D, But when i drive off. It stay in first till 4,000 rpm. Then it shifts.
What is the problem. Do I need too take it too the shop...

Either the TV cable needs to be adjusted of the car needs to go to the shop to have the tranny diagnosed

oh, third... dang. the post said first... which is it?
i know ours did something similar <you had to back off the throttle a little to get it to shift in OD> but it wasnt that high. i agree, reset your TV cable, and see if that does anything.

TV cable is the place to start but might also want to check for a TPS that read too high. This will also raise thee idle.
