Default No start

Has anyone given any thought to a faulty ignition switch? As they wear they can become intermittant.

Hey all, sorry for the lack of news. I'd thought this thread was dead, and I didn't want to bore you with the aftermath....

But since you're still interested... here'* "the rest of the story"

The coil pack/spark control fixed it. However it turns out that they were NOT genuine GM parts. At first glance, I couldn't see any manufacturer markings on the unit at all, but it was a medium gray color on top. Similar to the stock GM in shape. But not GM, and darn expensive. To further upset me, they didn't put the old parts in her trunk like they said they would.

I know, it'* not *that* expensive these days, but the car only cost her $1000 this fall. There'* just something wrong with that.

Yeah, i'd thought of possibly checking her ignition with parts from my bonnie, but she lives 2.5 hours away, and I don't trust the alternator in mine right now... but thats another post. Thanks again for your suggestions and technical information, much of which I wouldn't have thought of. You da best.
I'm Jon. I'm completely stock, no mods.
